The collector and district election officer for Mumbai city, Rajiv Nivtekar, has warned that people whose photos are not available in the voter list won’t be eligible to vote in upcoming elections. Nivtekar has started a special drive after it was found that there are no photos for 18,000 people on the voter list.

The deadline for submitting the photos at nearby election offices is July 8. Unless they update their photos, people will be removed from the voting list and thus ineligible to vote.
