A portion of the third-floor balcony of a residential building on Babulnath Road in Walkeshwar collapsed late on Tuesday night, leaving one person dead, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The incident was reported to the BMC's Mumbai Fire Brigade at 11:22 pm on June 30, 2026. It occurred at Surya Prakash Building, a ground-plus-three-storey MHADA cessed building located on Babulnath Road in the Walkeshwar area.
