A 33-year-old women lost her life and 49-year-old man suffered minor injuries after they were knocked down by a speeding truck near Vashi goan on the Sion-Panvel highway on Tuesday.

The incident took place at around 5.45 am early in the morning while the duo were on their way towards Vashi on a bike. The deceased has been identified as Pranita Sachin Patil and the injured as Subhash Krishna Pandhare (49).
