The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) on Friday said that a part of the Eastern Freeway shall be temporarily closed for traffic. The closure has been undertaken for the construction of a metro station which will fall on the Wadala-Kasarvadavli metro line.

According to the MMRDA's media statement, the closure will begin from near Kurla Signal towards Sion. The affected stretch, they stated, is from Kurla Signal (Anna Bhau Sathe Chowk) to Suman Nagar junction.
