165 passengers had to be deplaned after fuel was leaking from an El Al Israel Airlines flight to Tel Aviv on Tuesday; the plane could only take off at 6 am the next day

HUNDREDS of passengers to Israel had to spend a night at Terminal 2 of the Mumbai international airport, instead of in the flight, after the airplane they had boarded started leaking fuel. The flight could only take off six and a half hours after its scheduled departure, when the aircraft was finally repaired.

With the flight being the only one of El Al Israel airlines going to Tel Aviv, no alternative adjustments could be made for passengers, said an official close to developments. Representation pic/Getty Images
