Mumbai ‘Pedestrian First’ campaign: BMC removes 20 unauthorised structures, 15 stalls in Borivali

The action was carried out on Tuesday in the R-Central ward areas, including Lokmanya Tilak Road, Market Lane and Borivali Subway Road. BMC said the ongoing action will help provide obstruction-free and more accessible footpaths to citizens, particularly those exiting Borivali West railway station

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken action against 20 unauthorised structures and 15 unauthorised stalls in Borivali West under its ‘Pedestrian First’ campaign, aimed at providing obstruction-free, safe and continuous footpaths for pedestrians.
The action was carried out on Tuesday in the R-Central ward areas, including Lokmanya Tilak Road, Market Lane and Borivali Subway Road, the BMC said in a press release.
