The Sakinaka police have arrested Rajendra Shinde who fled to Latur after assaulting his wife and son over a dispute regarding the delay in bringing his birthday cake. He was arrested and brought back to Mumbai.

The complainant, a woman living with her husband and son in the Sakinaka area, reported that the incident occurred on her husband’s birthday. He had asked her to bring a cake for the celebration. Despite ordering the cake as planned, the cake arrived late, which angered her husband. This led to a heated argument between them.

During the quarrel, the husband began abusing his wife. Their son attempted to mediate and resolve the conflict. In a fit of rage, the husband attacked his wife with a kitchen knife and then stabbed their son in the stomach before fleeing the scene. The Sakinaka police arrived promptly after receiving information. The injured woman was admitted to Rajawadi hospital, where she was treated and discharged. Their son is still undergoing treatment.

Based on the woman’s complaint, the police registered a case against her husband. An investigation was launched by a team led by Senior Inspector Gabaji Chimte. The investigation revealed crucial information that led the police team to Latur, where they apprehended the husband and brought him back.
