Mumbai Police arrest man with 125 grams of heroin valued at Rs 27 lakhs

Mumbai Police apprehended a 35-year-old individual with a substantial criminal record in the Malvani area of the city. The suspect, identified as Samir Sheikh, was taken into custody for the alleged possession of 125 grams of heroin valued at approximately Rs 27 lakhs.

Mumbai Police apprehended a 35-year-old individual with a substantial criminal record in the Malvani area of the city. The suspect, identified as Samir Sheikh, was taken into custody for the alleged possession of 125 grams of heroin valued at approximately Rs 27 lakhs, and for his suspected involvement in drug distribution activities, a report in PTI stated. 

During a routine patrolling operation near Hathi Garden, law enforcement officials made the arrest after discovering the illicit substance in the possession of Sheikh. Interrogation of the suspect revealed a deeply concerning criminal history, with as many as 17 cases registered against him, including serious charges such as murder.
