Mumbai to witness 24 high-tide spells this monsoon; highest wave of 4.89 m expected on July 16

Mumbai will witness 24 high-tide spells exceeding 4.5 metres during the monsoon season, according to the BMC. The first high-tide spell is expected from June 14 to 19, while the season's highest wave of 4.89 metres is forecast on July 16

Mumbai is set to experience 24 high-tide spells exceeding 4.5 metres during the monsoon season from June to September, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said on Thursday.
According to a civic release, the city will witness six high-tide periods each in June and July, five in August and seven in September, news agency PTI reported.
