Mumbai rains: Brace for heavy downpour for next three days

The IMD has issued a heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places for Mumbai on Thursday and Friday and only on Thursday for Thane and Palghar

Heavy to extremely heavy rains will batter areas in Maharashtraincluding Mumbai, over the next two-three days, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

"There is an extremely low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal and the clouds developed because of it would be hovering on Maharashtra from October 14 to 16. It would result into heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over some parts of Maharashtra,” said an IMD official.
