Eknath Shinde orders suspension of 'non-performing' civic officials on complaints of Thane corporators

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde ordered the suspension of non-performing Thane civic officials for a week and announced a 'zero death tolerance' policy during the monsoon. He also directed an immediate tree audit and action against officials responsible for delays and negligence

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday ordered suspension of erring and non-performing officials for a week after corporators in Thane alleged "unresponsive attitude" of certain civic departments, particularly the Tree Authority, during emergencies.
During Eknath Shinde’s visit to the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) control room in Thane to review monsoon preparedness.
