The Class 11 admission process under the ‘Special Round’ across Maharashtra colleges has been extended till Friday due to heavy rainfall.
This part of the admission process requires students to be physically present at their allotted colleges to complete enrolment. However, authorities declared a holiday for schools and junior colleges in Mumbai on Tuesday in view of the downpour.
“Currently, due to heavy rains in some districts of the state, holidays have been declared for higher secondary schools/junior colleges. Therefore, the period given from 19th August 2025 to 20th August 2025 for students to take admission in junior colleges is being extended to 22nd August 2025,” the official notice read.
Students, parents, and principals of junior colleges have been advised to take note of the revised dates.
The notice follows heavy rainfall in Mumbai and adjoining districts on Monday, which led to several schools shutting down after the morning session.
