Mumbai may see monsoon around June 10 as IMD tracks rapid advance

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has confirmed that the Southwest Monsoon 2026 is likely to reach Mumbai around June 10, even as it makes an early advance into the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
According to the IMD’s latest press release issued on Saturday, the monsoon has already entered southeast Arabian Sea, southwest and southeast Bay of Bengal, large parts of Andaman Sea, the entire Nicobar Islands, and some parts of Andaman Islands including Sri Vijaya Puram.
