Mumbaikars share pictures of rainfall as city witnesses heavy downpour

As per IMD forecast, Mumbai city and suburbs are expected to receive intense to very intense spell of rainfall during the next few hours

As the city continued to witness heavy downpour, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) took to Twitter to report waterlogging at Hindmata, Wadala and King's Circle. While water-logging was also reported at Andheri subway, the civic body said that the water was cleared from the subway and it was safe for commuters. The civic body deployed staff at Andheri subway to address the issue of water logging due to heavy rain in Mumbai.

Private weather agency Skymet's founder Jatin Singh said that there has been heavy rainfall in the northern parts of Mumbai today. In a tweet, the Skymet director said that Juhu, Santacruz and Jogeshwari received moderate spells of rainfall.
