The city experienced 190 mm average rainfall on Saturday which led to the death of two people. Two others were reported missing.

A 30 year-old man named Manjay Mandal sitting in the back seat of an auto rickshaw died after a tree fell on him on Friday afternoon. He was taken to V N Desai hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Also, 65 year-old Sakhubai Udamle, who lived in a shanty in Chembur East, died after the wall of the neighbouring Bhabha Atomic Research Centre fell on her. Another person, 75-year-old Shankar Udamle, suffered injuries and is being treated in Rajawadi hospital.
The island city experienced 171 mm average rainfall on Saturday, while the Eastern suburbs had 174.0 mm and the Western suburbs had 137.0 mm. The city has seen 726.5 mm rainfall so far, 28.40 per cent of the average.
The BMC received 160 complaints regarding water-logging till Saturday morning. The civic body's claims to have redressed 155 spots while areas like Khar subway, Milan subway, Mankhurd subway, Parel TT and King&rsquo;s circle were flooded even on Saturday. An additional 25 complaints were received until Saturday evening, which were being redressed.
Although Mumbai had 21 complaints of short circuit, there was no major fire.
Two people, a boy and a 30 year-old contractual worker, are missing after falling into two separate nullahs in Bandra. Both have not been traced yet. The BMC and fire brigade are doing search operations. Another person, who had fallen into a nullah in Mankhurd on Friday, is still missing.
