Mumbai reported as many as 172 new cases of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/covid-articles" rel="nofollow">Covid</a>-19 and one death on Sunday, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.&nbsp;
The fresh cases raised the tally of infections to 11,51,342 and toll to 19,735, the BMC said.&nbsp;
102 patients recovered from the virus, taking the total count of recoveries to 11,30,745, the civic body added.

The city now has a recovery rate of 98.2 per cent. At present there are 862 active cases in Mumbai, BMC said in a bulletin.
Of the 172 cases on October 9, only 6 patients are symptomatic and were hospitalised.
