So far, 106 patients have recovered from the virus. Currently, 325 active Covid-19 patients remain under treatment across the state. The majority of cases are mild and are being managed through government health facilities, which continue to offer testing and treatment services.
However, four deaths have been reported since January, all involving patients with underlying health conditions. These included cases of nephrotic syndrome with seizures, cancer, cerebrovascular disease, and diabetic ketoacidosis combined with respiratory infection.
Health officials emphasise that the increase in Covid-19 cases is not unique to Maharashtra but has also been observed in other states and some countries worldwide. The administration has urged to remain calm and continue following the recommended safety protocols.
