The number of new novel Coronavirus infections and deaths in both the city and the state were on the lower side on Monday, but that could be due to fewer tests conducted on Sunday. Mumbai reported only 348 of the 1,842 positive cases registered across Maharashtra.

The state’s death toll reached 50,815 after health department officials confirmed 30 more on Monday.
