Mumbai road accident: Two brothers killed after motorcycle crashes into building wall in Colaba

Two brothers were killed after the motorcycle they were travelling on crashed into the protective wall of a building on Nanabhai Moosa Marg in Colaba Mumbai early Wednesday morningThe victims have been identified as Sumit Satwan Valmiki 22 and his brother Sanju Satwan Valmiki 15 Both were residents of Ganeshmurti Nagar in Cuffe Parade and hailed from Pipri in Uttar Pradeshrsquos Badaun districtAccording to the police the accident took place between 445 am and 5 am when Sumit was riding the motorcycle along the northbound carriageway of Nanabhai Moosa MargThe motorcycle allegedly rammed into the protective wall of the Gangotri building leaving both brothers with serious injuries to their heads and facesBoth succumbed to their injuriesPolice have registered an accidental death report in connection with the incident The bodies have been sent to Gokuldas Tejpal Hospital for postmortem examinations to ascertain the exact cause of deathA forensic team also visited the accident site and collected samples as part of the investigationPolice are probing the circumstances that led to the crashThree killed one critical after BMW crashes on Mumbai Coastal RoadIn a separate incident three people were killed and another was critically injured after a BMW crashed on Mumbai Coastal Road on September 20 police saidThe accident was reported at around 520 am when the car was travelling from Marine Drive towards Haji Ali According to information provided by the Coastal Road Control Room the vehicle was allegedly travelling at high speed when the driver lost control near Lotus Jetty opposite Lala Lajpatrai CollegeAll four occupants of the car were rushed to the civicrun Nair Hospital following the crash The hospital later confirmed that three had been declared brought dead while the fourth occupant was admitted to the trauma ward in a critical conditionThe deceased were identified as Shanay Gajjal 21 and Dhirya Seth 17 The identity of the third deceased a man believed to be around 25 years old was not immediately knownThe injured occupant Aditya Oswal sustained serious injuries and was admitted to the trauma wardShanay Gajjar who allegedly drove the BMW that plunged off the Coastal Road was found partly inside the mangled vehicle with his leg reportedly still on the accelerator police saidThe circumstances surrounding Gajjars position inside the wreckage remain unclear Police are investigating whether he was attempting to free himself get out of the vehicle or help the other occupantsHowever with Gajjar and the two other occupants dead and the sole survivor Aditya Oswal still unconscious at Breach Candy Hospital police do not have an eyewitness account of the moments immediately following the crash
