An alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable saved a couple who was about to fall off a train while trying to board from Kalyan station on Friday, RPF officials said.

The DN Godan Covid Special Express ( train no. 01059) was departing from Kalyan railway station when a family of three - Ashfak Mohd Khan (61), his wife and their 25-year-son Abthab Ashfak Khan - were trying to get on the train. On-duty head constable Sheshrao Patil pushed the woman and her husband on the train as they were about to fall off, said railway officials. The son, however, missed the train.
