Western Railway launches first-of-its-kind public library at Mumbai's Churchgate station

Western Railway and Project Mumbai have launched "Library Junction", a first-of-its-kind free public library at Churchgate station. Inaugurated by AB de Villiers, the facility houses around 1,200 books, which commuters can borrow for up to two weeks

Commuters passing through Churchgate station can now borrow a book for their train journey, with the Western Railway and Project Mumbai launching a first-of-its-kind free public library at the station on Friday.

Named "Library Junction", the facility was inaugurated on World Environment Day at the South Concourse area of Churchgate station by former South African cricketer and captain AB de Villiers in the presence of railway and civic officials.
