Mumbai’s TPR rises to 1.01 per cent, Covid-19 cases at 364

Mumbai records five deaths, while state sees 170; doubling rate stands at 1,747 days

Mumbai’s test positivity rate (TPR) has seen a significant rise as it crossed the one per cent mark. It had dipped below one per cent for the first time in the second wave on July 29. On Friday, it rose to 1.01 per  cent. Meanwhile, as per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, the cases stood at 364 and deaths at five.

On August 19, the city recorded the second wave’s lowest TPR at 0.53 per cent, after which the graph has been gradually going up.
