Mumbai sessions court sentences man to 1.5 years in prison for sexual harassment, calling minor girl an 'item'

The court held that the accused used to tease the victim and called her an “item”, thereby tried to outrage her modesty

A 25-year-old man in Mumbai was sentenced to one and a half years in prison after being convicted of sexually harassing a minor girl. Mohammad Abrar Khan, a city-based businessman, was also fined Rs 500 by the Mumbai Dindoshi Sessions Court last week.

The court held that the accused used to tease the victim and called her an “item”, thereby tried to outrage her modesty.
