<p>Six passengers were left injured after a <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-best-bus-accident-best-bus-hits-divider-in-borivali-after-driver-swerves-to-avoid-biker-in-borivali-23640901" rel="nofollow">BEST bus crashed</a> into a road divider at Mumbai&rsquo;s Powai Vihar Sankul on Thursday afternoon, police said.</p>
<p>According to officials, the incident took place at around 12:45 pm and was reported to the authorities at 1:50 pm after a citizen alerted them.</p>
<p>Preliminary information suggests that the BEST bus driver noticed a car approaching from the left side. While his attention was focused on the car, the bus veered and collided with a divider on the right side of the road.</p>
<h2>Six injured</h2>
<p>The impact of the collision left six passengers with minor injuries. Acting swiftly, the bus conductor shifted all the injured passengers to Paramount Hospital in Sakinaka for treatment.</p>
<p>According to the hospital, all six passengers were treated on an outpatient basis and later discharged.</p>

<li>Ajay Shinde (27), who sustained an injury above the right eye.</li>
<li>Sakshi Pisal (23), who suffered a blunt injury to the chin.</li>
<li>Babar Singh (20), who sustained a lip injury.</li>
<li>Manoj Gupta (41), who suffered an injury to the right side of the forehead.</li>
<li>Praneeti Mali (25), who sustained a nose injury.</li>
<li>Nadir Shah Chikode (36), who suffered a neck injury.</li>
</ul>
<p>While the authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mankhurd-best-bus-crash-injured-commuter-recounts-horror-after-flyover-accident-23640757" rel="nofollow">accident</a>. Fortunately, none of the passengers in the bus suffered major injury.</p>
<h2>BEST bus hits divider in Borivali after driver swerves to avoid biker</h2>
<p>In a separate incident earlier on Tuesday, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-best-bus-accident-best-bus-hits-divider-in-borivali-after-driver-swerves-to-avoid-biker-in-borivali-23640901" rel="nofollow">Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) CNG bus</a> hit a road divider after the driver allegedly swerved to avoid a motorcyclist who suddenly came in front of the vehicle in Borivali East late on Sunday night, officials said.</p>
<p>The incident took place at around 11:20 pm near the Daulat Nagar bus stop while the bus was travelling from Vaishali Nagar to Borivali (East).</p>
<p>According to the accident report, the motorcyclist entered the bus's path from the left lane without warning.</p>
<p>In an attempt to avoid a collision, the driver turned the steering wheel to the right, causing the bus to strike the divider and become lodged on it.</p>
<p>A towing vehicle was later called to remove the bus, which was taken back to the Magathane depot.</p>
<h2>No injuries reported</h2>
<p>No injuries to passengers, the bus crew, or other road users have been reported in connection with the incident.</p>
<p>The extent of damage to the bus has not been disclosed.</p>
