While the authorities are still discussing a concrete action plan to restrict the spread of H1N1 virus, Mumbai hospitals reported two more deaths on Wednesday, taking the death toll in the city to 33.
Septicemia (bacteremia or blood poisoning) has emerged as a new contributing factor in both the fatalities. Since January 19, a total of 1267 Mumbaikars have tested positive with swine flu while 161 patients from different parts of the country have come to the city seeking treatment for the disease.
