Mumbai’s TPR falls below 1 per cent, but Covid-19 cases rise

The state’s case fatality rate remained constant at 2.12 per cent as 1,370 recovered and got discharged on Tuesday. Currently the state has 22,981 active cases

Mumbai’s test positivity rate (TPR) dipped below 1 at 0.93 per cent on Tuesday as daily cases saw a marginal rise. But the city’s Covid-19 fatalities saw a dip. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, 293 new cases were reported on Tuesday along with five deaths.

Of the five deceased, three had comorbidities and all the deceased were above 60 years of age.  The doubling rate improved to 1,368 days on Tuesday. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 329 people recovered and were discharged on Tuesday.
