The Borivli police have arrested three men, who conned people by pretending to be officers from Indian Administrative Services (IAS) and Intelligence Bureau (IB). The accused would lure their victims on the pretext of giving them government jobs, pass government tenders, issue government flats in Delhi and excise licence.
The three accused — Ahwani Supra, 36, Anil Chaudhari, 46 and Vinod Jha 41 — hail from Uttar Pradesh and according to the police, operated from a Borivli-based restaurant for a month. Police seized duplicate stamps, and fake IAS and IB officer ID cards from the hotel room they were residing in.
