A severe water shortage has hit Navi Mumbai and Panvel, leaving thousands of residents struggling with empty taps and limited alternatives. The crisis has worsened due to a major rainfall deficit, reducing reservoir levels and forcing authorities to impose strict water rationing across several areas.
Residents hit
The shortage has severely affected residents, especially in peripheral nodes. The situation is further aggravated by a shortage of private water tankers due to high demand. In areas where tankers are available, residents have complained about muddy, rusty and unfit water.
