Mumbai’s weather alert may be green, but the city feels red hot

Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 36 degree Celsius and 28 degree Celsius; over the weekend, several parts of the city recorded high temperatures, along with even higher humidity

There is a green alert for Mumbai for the weather after days of hot and humid conditions which persisted over the city, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD). As per the IMD, the city will witness mainly clear skies, but hot and humid weather may continue. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 36 degree Celsius and 28 degree Celsius.

Over the weekend, parts of the city recorded high temperatures, along with even higher humidity. On Sunday, parts of western suburbs recorded temperature as high as 39.2 degree Celsius, while relative humidity touched 70 per cent as per Colaba weather station readings, and 60 per cent as per the Santacruz weather station readings during the morning hours.
