Mumbai swelters as mercury likely to reach 35 degrees Celsius amid clear skies

In its 48-hour forecast for Mumbai, the weather bureau has predicted mainly clear skies with hot and humid conditions in isolated pockets. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 34 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively

Mumbai city and its suburbs are likely to experience mainly clear skies with hot and humid conditions, particularly in the suburban areas, over the next two days.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will settle near 24 degrees Celsius on Sunday. The Santacruz station, which is representative of the suburbs, is likely to record a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, while the Colaba station, which is indicative of the temperatures in the Island City, is likely to record a maximum of 34 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius.
