Extending the heat wave warning for Mumbai and adjoining areas, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a yellow alert for another day, indicating hot and humid weather conditions in isolated pockets.
The weather forecast agency had on Monday issued a heat warning for the city even as Mumbai experienced hot and humid weather in the past three days (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday), with temperatures going above 36°C. The yellow alert has also been extended to Thane and Raigad districts for Wednesday and Thursday.

Forecast for Thursday
Mainly clear skies. Hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places in the city and suburbs. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 36°C and 24°C, respectively.
Forecast for Friday: Mainly clear skies in the city and suburbs. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 34°C and 23°C, respectively.
