IMD issues yellow warning for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar; heavy rain likely for 2 days

Mumbai is likely to receive heavy rainfall on Tuesday and Wednesday as the IMD keeps the city under a yellow alert. Thane and Raigad are also forecast to receive heavy rain, while Palghar may see moderate showers before rainfall intensity eases from Thursday

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai and neighbouring districts, forecasting heavy rainfall at isolated places over the next two days as the monsoon remains active over Konkan.
The forecast, issued at midnight on Tuesday, is valid from 8.30 am IST each day until 8.30 am the following day.
