Weather update: IMD sounds yellow alert for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad; warns of hot and humid conditions

According to the IMD, maximum and minimum temperatures in the city are likely to hover around 36 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad, forecasting hot and humid conditions at isolated places, particularly in suburban areas.

In the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Santacruz recorded a high of 36.5 degrees Celsius, while Colaba saw slightly lower temperatures at 34.9 degrees Celsius, according to IMD's latest data.
