Mumbai woke up to a bright and sunny morning on Wednesday despite the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting light to moderate rain in parts of the city and suburbs.

In its 8 am local forecast, the IMD predicted a partly cloudy sky with occasional light to moderate spells of rain in Mumbai and its suburbs.
