Mumbai rains
The city witnessed unexpected rains early on Saturday morning. The rains that were accompanied by thunder and lightenening were measured at 0.4mm in Colaba and 1.7mm in Santacruz.
The rains are said to have been caused due to western disturbance over Afghanistan and adjoining areas of Pakistan. This weather disturbance induced upper-air cyclonic circulation over South Pakistan moving towards Kutch and West- Rajasthan causing thunder showers.
