A woman and a male colleague have been charged for allegedly disposing of her newborn child's body in Bandra Creek in western Mumbai, according to a police official on Thursday.

A report in the news agency PTI quoted the official saying that the 34-year-old woman resided with several other women in the Worli Koliwada area in central Mumbai. She concealed her pregnancy by misleading everyone, claiming to have abdominal tumours.
