An angry woman commuter on Wednesday evening stalled traffic by holding up a BEST bus on route number A-137 at Colaba in south Mumbai, following an argument with the bus driver for halting the bus away from the designated bus stop, officials said.

"Traffic along Colaba Causeway, opposite BEST Bhavan, was blocked for 20 minutes because the unidentified woman got into the bus and refused to get off or let it proceed further," an eyewitness said.

"The lady kept insisting that the driver must reverse back to the bus stop, and only then would she let it go. She was also seen arguing with the traffic cop on duty. The bus was then taken to the side and traffic was relieved," he said.

Bus route A-137 is a ring route from Navy Nagar (Colaba) to Navy Nagar (Colaba), covering key areas like Dhobi Ghat, Colaba Bus Station, Strand Cinema, the region around Mantralaya, and Churchgate via Marine Drive, and returning through the same points.
