A young woman in Dahisar committed suicide after her husband allegedly thrashed her during a fight. The MHB police station, where the case has been registered, has arrested the deceased’s husband and father-in-law for abetting her suicide and harassing her.

The victim was identified as Aretta Mahir Khan (23), who used to stay with her husband, Mahir Khan (23), and father-in-law, Ayub Khan (52) in Dahisar (East). Aretta had come to Mumbai five years ago from her hometown of Silvassa for higher studies and had fallen in love with Mahir.
