<p>The Western Railway on Tuesday conducted a massive check at Andheri station involving 199 ticket-checking staff under the 'Mera Ticket Mera Imaan' initiative by the Mumbai Central Division.</p>
<p>"It broke all previous records, and resulted in the detection of 2,693 errant travellers and recovery of Rs 7,14,077 as a penalty," an official said.</p>
<p>On Saturday, 195 ticket-checking staff checked Dadar Station (Western Railway) in the morning and by the end of the day, the drive detected 1,647 cases making a recovery of Rs. 4,21,960*, thus making it one of the Biggest Fortress Check in the history of Indian Railways.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In fact, nowhere else even outside India has such an extensive day-long ticket-checking drive focusing on a single station with such a quantum of recovery ever been conducted.</p><p>
