Mumbai’s Covid-19 cases go over 500 again, fatalities also rise

The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 337 people recovered and were discharged on Thursday

Covid-19 cases in the city continue to rise, and on Thursday the number went over 500. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) on Thursday was 1.47 per cent. Even the cases in MMR are showing a rising trend as their number almost touched 1,000 on Thursday.

As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, 546 new cases were reported on Thursday in Mumbai after 37,007 tests. There was an increase in casualties as five deaths were recorded in the city. Of these, four had comorbidities. One death was below 40 years, while four deaths were above 60 years of age. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 337 people recovered and were discharged on Thursday.
