Mumbai’s Covid-19 TPR drops for second day in a row

Mumbai saw a significant drop in the Covid test positivity rate (TPR) for the second consecutive day as it fell below 1 per cent. While the number of fatalities due to the infection remained the same, new cases saw a marginal rise on Friday. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, 335 new cases were reported along with six deaths.
Recovery rate constant
Out of the six deceased, four had comorbidities. While two of them were in the age group of 40-60 years, four were above 60 years of age. The doubling rate improved to 1,462 days on Friday. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 312 people were discharged after full recovery on Friday.
