Mumbai's Jogeshwari Junction set to handle long-distance trains from January 2027

Long-distance trains are expected to begin operating from Mumbai's upcoming Jogeshwari Junction from January 2027. Western Railway also plans to develop the station into a multimodal transport hub, with a hotel and shopping mall proposed in the second phase, subject to technical and financial feasibility.

Long-distance trains are expected to originate from the upcoming Jogeshwari Junction from January 2027, while the station is also being planned as a modern multimodal transport hub with the possibility of a hotel and shopping mall in its second phase, subject to technical and financial feasibility.
The assurance was given by Western Railway (WR) General Manager Ramashray Pandey during a meeting with Mumbai North West MP Ravindra Waikar to review pending railway projects and commuter issues in the constituency.
