Mumbai’s TPR and deaths up, cases rise to over 200

Maharashtra sees significant rise in new Covid infections, at 960, and fatalities, at 41

The city saw a significant rise in new cases as the daily number went above 200 with four deaths. With more testing, Mumbai’s test positivity rate (TPR) also saw a marginal rise and it  was at 0.68% on Wednesday. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, there were 258 new cases.

All the four deceased had comorbidities. While one of the deceased was between 40-60 years of age, the rest were above 60 years of age.
