Thane: A district court in Thane has issued a showcause notice to Kalyan Jail authorities after they failed to produce one of the accused before it in connection with the 2013 Mumbra building collapse case, in which charges were to be framed.

The notice was issued by Thane District Judge V V Bambarde yesterday. In a strongly worded letter to Adharwadi Jail Superintendent, the Judge sought explanation for his failure to produce accused --Laxman Dhanaji Rathod--in the court on Monday.
