Navi Mumbai Police destroy drugs worth Rs 56.69 crore; anti-narcotics helpline launched

To encourage public participation, the Navi Mumbai Police also launched a dedicated 24-hour anti-drug helpline — 8828-112-112. Commissioner Bharambe urged citizens to use the helpline to report drug trafficking, peddling or any suspicious activities

In a major action against narcotics, the Navi Mumbai Police destroyed illegal drugs worth Rs 56.69 crore on Friday as part of its ongoing efforts to make the city drug-free, news agency PTI reported.

The disposal of the seized narcotics was carried out on June 26, coinciding with the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
