Navi Mumbai water worries ease as Morbe Dam reaches 57.82 per cent capacity after monsoon rains

Heavy monsoon rainfall has significantly improved water storage at Navi Mumbai's Morbe Dam, which is now 57.82 per cent full. The NMMC says the city has enough drinking water to last for the next 166 days, until December 22.

Just over a week after Navi Mumbai was bracing for a water crisis, the city’s fortunes have turned around with the monsoon.
Relentless rainfall in the Morbe Dam catchment has pushed the reservoir to 57.82 per cent of its capacity, easing fears of immediate water scarcity for more than 15 lakh residents.
