Nepal floods: Seven Maharashtra tourists stranded, 4 safe as officials search for 3 others

Seven tourists from Maharashtra are reported stranded in flood-hit Nepal, with officials confirming contact with four, including two each from Mumbai and Pune. Authorities are trying to reach three others and compiling details of more Maharashtra residents who may be affected

Seven tourists from Maharashtra stranded in Nepal floods officials try to contact 3 (Pic/AFP)

Amid the devastating floods in Nepal and Tibet, seven tourists from Maharashtra are reported to be stranded in Nepal. As per the latest update, at least four of them are safe while efforts are underway to reach out to the other three, officials said on Wednesday night.

An official, while talking to the media on Thursday, said that the state disaster management authorities have established communication with the four, including two each from Mumbai and Pune.
