As IF the country’s heartlessness knows no bounds, a 20 year-old Nepali woman was raped by three different men on three separate occasions — all under the pretext of helping her settle in Mumbai. On Saturday, the three accused were booked for allegedly gang raping the woman. The two accused, identified as Julfikar Shaikh (26) and Parvez Shaikh (20), were arrested while the third unidentified accused is still absconding.

The woman, who was having marital difficulties, fled to Mumbai in the hopes of meeting her friend from Nepal. She boarded a taxi for Madanpura, Nagpada from Kurla station at 5 am on Friday. Her husband used to work in a purse-making mill at Madanpura.
