BMC sets December deadline for completion of Mumbai's first cable-stayed civic bridge over railway tracks in Mahalaxmi

The cable-stayed bridge is being constructed under Mumbai's Development Plan and will provide a connection between Saat Rasta and Mahalaxmi Maidan, crossing the Western Railway tracks near Mahalaxmi station

Mumbai's first cable-stayed bridge built by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) over railway tracks is taking shape near Mahalaxmi railway station, with the civic body targeting completion of the project by December 31, 2026, an official statement said.

The bridge, being built on Keshavrao Khadye Marg, is expected to improve connectivity between Saat Rasta and Mahalaxmi Racecourse.
