Party does not give a single Youth Congress member ticket to fight Assembly elections
The Congress High Command had assured its young members of a chance to prove themselves politically, yet nobody from the Mumbai Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC) has been given a ticket to contest the October 13 Assembly polls.
MPYC had demanded eight seats for its members, including one for its president Sunil Ahire. An angry Ahire met Mumbai Regional Congress Committee president Kripashankar Singh at his home on Thursday in protest.
Valid reasons
Confirming that Ahire had expressed his anguish over the denial of a ticket, Kripashankar said, "I am unhappy that the Youth Congress was not given tickets, but there are reasons.
